| Power Audio has installed the Audio Technica
ATCS-60 IR Conference System in the Council Chambers in
Shepparton. The system is comprised of 9 Battery powered
(rechargeable) ATCS-M60 Delegate stations with built in
speakers and ATCS-60MIC gooseneck microphones. The microphones
can be sound activated or can be turned on manually depending
on the configuration set on the ATCS-C60 base unit.
Two ATCS-A60 IR receivers are installed in the ceiling
to wirelessly transfer the audio signal. IR means no frequency
interference and more security as the signal cannot be
accessed outside the room. The wireless capability also
eliminates leads running across tables and on the floor.
The system is controlled by the ATCS-C60 Base Unit which
can run up to 150 delegate stations. Priority settings
can be made to stations, with the main priority been giving
to the Chairman's microphone, and up to 5 microphones
can operate simultaneously at any one time .
The ATCS-C60 Base unit is configured to use its Serial
(RS232) connector & Audio outputs to link into the
Councils laptop to record Council sessions and can be
used to create minutes and manage delegate microphones.
The ATCS-C60 Base unit also has the capability of working
in conjunction with and controlling video camera's for
full conferencing capability.
In the gallery area (Rear setting area) Atlas Sound 6"
ceiling speakers have been installed powered by a Bosch
Plena mixer amplifier. The Atlas Sound ceiling mount speakers
offer incredibly clear audibility and frequency response
not only for speaking applications, but for music as well.
Cabling and wall plates are installed to enable external
feeds to be taken by radio stations etc for broadcast.
A Bosch Plena Loop amplifier was later installed along
with cabling laid under the carpet to add a hearing aid
loop to the Chambers.
