Living Waters AOG FOH Upgrade
Power Audio has designed and installed the upgrade of
the sound system at Living Waters AOG, Kyabram. The Church
has the capacity to seat approximately 300-400 people
and consists of a main auditorium and 2 overflow area's.

1: New Front of House (click for images)
Stage 1 of the upgrade involved the replacement of the
existing FOH and overflow speakers. The main goal of the
new FOH was vocal clarity, hence the choice of the Bose
802 as the main speakers. Although they appear to be little
PA speakers with only 250W, the performance of these speakers
certainly should not be underestimated.
New FOH: - 2x Bose 802 Series III Loudspeakers
- 2x Lorantz 18" Custom Made Subwoofers
- 2x Bose Panaray System Controllers
New Overflow:
- 4x Bose 402 Series II Loudspeakers
Each overflow has 2 Bose 402 speakers ran by a Bose Panaray
Controller & Crown Amplifiers. The overflow speakers are
also delayed through the Bose controller to eliminate
echo and synchronize the sound. The Lorantz subs were
custom built to fit under the stage. The church however
changed their minds after they were built and they are
now out in front of the stage. New DBX Graphics where
also installed and the existing Behringer graphic was
used on the foldback system.
Stage 2: Installation of a new Mixing
Console (Click for images)
The next major step in the upgrade was the replacement
of the 32 channel Behringer Mixer with a new Allen
& Heath GL 2800 (882KB PDF) 32 Channel
Mixer. Not only did the new mixer add the advantage of
up to 10 auxiliaries for individual foldback mixes and
mute groups, the extra clarity and volume achieved by
the new console was quite obvious.
Additional equipment supplied has included a Countryman
E6i with Shure SLX RX/TX and several Audio Technica 3000
Series systems with T731 Microphones. |
